Every year for the past 19 years, T.O.R.C. (Toyota Owner’s and Restorer’s Club) has organized a car show that honors Toyota’s past, explores the future, stretches the bounds of creativity and, above all, celebrates all things Toyota. This year, over 400 vehicles attracted a diverse crowd—everyone from hipsters to hot rodders, off-roaders to daily drivers—all to check out the vehicles.
TOYOTAFEST is the largest Toyota family reunion on the West Coast. This year, it featured everything from old school Land Cruisers to the latest Toyota, Lexus & Scion models. And while TOYOTAFEST is about all things Toyota, T.O.R.C.’s organizational purpose is to promote the preservation, restoration, modification and use of pre-1985 Toyota models—in other words, appreciating old school Toyota vehicles.
Hanging out at TOYOTAFEST is a great way to build friendships and discover the latest technical info about a restoration or modification project. Next year marks the 20th anniversary of TOYOTAFEST, and it’s going to be awesome!
When you get a group of Toyota, Lexus & Scion owners together at the same place, it doesn’t take long for the conversation to shift gears to performance. One common theme is the signature sound of a high-performance Toyota engine, especially one that features a TRD Exhaust System. It creates a distinct growl that lets everyone know that this driver appreciates performance.
Having the right exhaust system is critical when it comes to performance. The ideal exhaust system balances the backpressure, works in harmony with the emissions system, and ultimately, let’s everyone know that this car or truck means business. TRD offers a variety of exhaust systems, ranging from complete CAT-back Exhaust Systems to stainless steel TRD Sport Mufflers. No matter which you choose, they all meet emissions requirements and aftermarket noise standards in all 50 states.
